Uhhh, Nolan...why are you licking your sister??  That's a bit more than "brotherly love"!

"Are you ok?"

Nolan and I were playing in the backyard, but then Alexa started crying (almost always to be fed ;). So I went inside to feed her and let Nolan continue to play. I was able to see him playing through the window, but then he disappeared from view.
So I hollered, "Nolan, are you ok?"

He then pops up (apparently from chalk painting on the ground), and says "I ok, mama!"

Then every couple minutes, he would run to the door and say, "are you ok, mama?" I would respond, "I'm ok. Are you ok, Nolan?" And we would again respond, "i ok, mama!"

This happened around 8-10 times and just had me laughing after a while. That adorable face peeking through the sliding door asking if *I* am ok...my heart melts :)

"T'mon, Mama, check it out!"

Today, while Nolan and I were playing in the backyard, Nolan was wandering along the side yard.

I go over there to see what he's doing, and he says, "T'mon, mama, check it out!" He had found a hole in the stucco with orange foam insulation/filling, and pointed out that "it's yucky!"

That kid just cracks me up!! I don't know who he got the "check it out" from, but it's so cute!

Alexa's 4 month check-up

Today we went for Alexa's 4 month check-up with Dr. Fazilat.  Alexa is doing fantastic!  Her height is 25.25 inches (81%'), Weight is 15 lbs 1.5 oz (67%), and head circumference is 40 3/16 cm (54%).

Alexa is meeting or exceeding all her milestones, but most importantly she is just a happy, sweet baby (as long as you're paying attention to her :)

We originally had 2 oval mirrors up, but decided I didn't like the way they looked. Given that we spent a good chunk on that bathroom remodel, I was going to get it just right!

Girls Lunch!

Alexa and I had an amazing 3 hour lunch with with my long-time and close girlfriends, Katrine & Lisa. SO. MUCH. FUN. Love those girls!!

Valentines Lunch!

Having a 3 month old makes it hard to have a night out, seeing as how I'm the only one she allows to put her to bed.

Alexa barely lets others feed her, so Francis & I were lucky to get a lunch date out today.

My mom watches Alexa, and Jenn watched Nolan while Francis & I went out to Enoteca La Storia Wine Bar for some delicious wine and grub. We started up with wine (of course!), then shared a crostini caprese salad, a 6 cheese platter (AMAZING! Especially the Burrata cheese!), then a ham & cheese panini, then THE FREAKIN' FABULOUS mascarpone gelato with Olive Oil and sea salt!

We were feeling fat and happy after that meal! And it was do nice to FINALLY go on DATE with my husband!

Francis's brother Chuck came up to visit this weekend, so the kids got a chance to hang out with Uncle Chuck!  So on Sunday, we had a delicious brunch with Chuck, as well as Francis's mom Mary.

I read that most babies do it at 5-6 mo, but as early as 4 months. Well, BabyCenter.com, Alexa is just a week past 3 months! :)

It is just a testament to how much she hates being in her belly!!

"Moy, moy hugs and kisses!"

Last night while I was feeding Alexa getting ready to put her to bed, Francis was in the other room getting Nolan ready for bed.

Nolan had already come in and given Alexa and I tons of hugs, kisses, and 'I Love Yous', but then I hearing him coming toward the room again yelling, "No daddy, I need moy, moy hugs and kisses!" He then proceeded to give his second round of hugs, kisses, and 'I Love Yous'.

There's nothing better than such than such a sweet child showing his love for his mama and sister!!
