I remember the days I had desserts followed by a nice glass of wine. Now I just get "cookies", followed by a cupful of bleach. Sigh.

Happy Mother's Day!

What a fabulous Mother's Day! We had Jarrod, Jenn, Robert, Connor, and my mom over for a delicious brunch. Jarrod & Francis made some amazing waffles, sausage, eggs, and fruit salad...and we scarfed it down like there is no tomorrow!
Then we all hung out in the backyard and let the boys run around in this beautiful California spring weather!

I gave Alexa some poofs today, and I was amazed how quickly/easily she picked them up and shoveled them into her mouth!

As I sat rocking Alexa to sleep, I kissed her on the nose and made a loud smooch.

She then smiled and returned "mwah" kiss/motion to me. We did this like 5 times, so I break out the video camera on my phone....and, of course, nothing. Unable to get a repeat performance :(

I know what happened, that's all that counts!

Baba, nana, dada, mama

For the past few days, Alexa has been saying "baba" sounds. Then yesterday, apparently she said "nana" to my mom (coincidence? No, my mom has been repeating the words "nana" to Alexa to ensure she made it high on the first-words-list!)

Today, Alexa said "dada", to which I then said, "when do I get to hear mama?!" And what do you know, the next word out of her mouth is "mama"!

Yay, the "mama" is beaming!

Yay, Francis installed the baby chandelier for Alexa's room!! It's perfect for our princess :)

Buh buh buh...

Alexa is starting to say some "words". Currently, it just "buh buh buh", other than her general babbling sounds.

I can't wait to hear her say "Mama." It better come before "dada" :)

Mmmm, pasta primavera!

Alexa is really enjoying her pasta primavera! So far, however, she has *not* been a fan of the chicken baby food, nor the green veggies like green beans and peas. But she loves her fruits and the sweeter items like squash or sweet potato.
We're continuing to learn her palette!

Pooped!

Nolan is pooped after a good day of play with Robert and Connor.

Alexa will occasionally suck her thumb when really tired. It's just precious :)

Since Jarrod and Jenn are participating in a relay race in Calistoga (you go, guys!), my mom brought the boys over to have a fun day with Nolan. With the weather at a gorgeous 85 degrees, we decided it was time to break out the "wiggling willy" sprinkler. This kept them busy for an hour or so, at least...

And she's rolling across the room!
