"Protect your finances!"
Conversation with Nolan tonight. Out of no where, Nolan says:
N: "You have to protect your finances, you know"
Me: "you're right, Nolan, you do have to protect your finances."
N: "And you have to put your finances away."
Francis: "yes, that's right, you need to put your finances away...just like when you save your money in your piggy bank."
N: "and you have to keep it from the bad guys!"
Me: (giggling) "That's right - and sometimes the bad guys are even disguised as bankers!"
N: "no, the bad guys are Transformers. You gotta protect your finances from Transformers!"

Christmas lights!
We attempted to see the Vasona Christmas lights show, only to disappoint the kiddos because the line to get in was miles long (the line literally looped several miles through Los Gatos).
But we then found this AWESOMENESS right in our neighborhood! The kids were over the moon! I'm leaving a nice bottle of wine for these fabulous folks!

"Skynke"
Nolan is always making up words, and creating his own definitions.
Last night, he created the word "skynke", which apparently meant to "take someone's temperature and it be really high".
I liked the word so much, I started to use it for everything. Like, "I'm going to skynke you" as I tickled him.
Or, "that is one skynke-y sock" to describe his smelly sock.
I love this Nolan dictionary!

"Walk away, Nolan!"
Alexa does the funniest thing when she gets upset with Nolan, especially as they're fighting over a toy.
She'll grapple over the toy, then yell, "Walk away, Nolan!" It's actually more like, "Walk away, Noooolaaaaaan!!"

Busy plundering world!
Nolan was jumping around the room with his "pirate sword" when Alexa kept asking him to catch her (as she tried to leap off the ottoman).
Nolan responds, "I am too busy plundering the world, Alexa!"

Nolan's play on words
A couple funny plays on words that Nolan said recently. This kid cracks me up!
1. He said to Francis, "Would you like a spot of tea?" as he lifted a foam letter T.
2. As he exited the bathroom, he asked his teacher, "Can you snap your fingers?" She responded that she could, then snapped her fingers. He then said, "Good, can you now snap my pants?"
