ABC's and 123's

Nolan can now identify ALL the letters of the alphabet, plus the numbers 1 through 10.  In addition, he can count up to the number 13 (his counting skills are usually displayed as he makes his way down the stairs - counting each step he takes).

I would like to take credit for this - you know, those great mommy skills involving reading to him for hours each night, reciting it over and over to him, blah blah blah.  But no, I think the real influence here was the iPhone.  That's right, I said it.  I think the iPhone did a better job at teaching some new skills than I did!
Nolan has a bunch of learning games on his phone, and I think that's been the real advantage.  Not me.  But that will be our little secret.
